Rimmel London ‘Lovely Lilac’

It is a darker lilac and cream formula.
2 coats needed
My favourite mascara combination is Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion and Maybelline Define-A-Lash Volume mascara. I use Lash Blast Fusion then Define-A-Lash. I tend to look for volumising mascaras the most because I have quite long lashes already. I also buy the darker brown coloured mascaras, I use black if I’m going out or I want a more dramatic look. Because I have blonde hair, it can look quite fake when I wear black mascaras. I love natural long looking lashes and the doll-like effect.

My absolute favourite red nail polish is by Rimmel London and it is called ‘Double Decker Red’ (# 030).

(My nails are quite short, I accidentally cut them too short!)
It is an exact Double Decker bus colour! It looks good on any skin tone and only needs one coat!
Last year when I was in England visiting family and friends I bought a few nail polishes from my favourite places. This is the one that I love most, and it always reminds me of the UK when I wear it.
It is called Strawberry (# 309) and is a basic bubblegum pink.
You can’t purchase this in Australia but you can go to the Barry M website and buy it! Their other products are quite good too!
If I’d ask you, who is Joseph Kony, you wouldn’t know. You should. And that’s why I’m going to tell you about him.
Joseph Kony considers himself as a good Christian.
He abducts kids, little girls go in prostitution, little boys become kid soldiers and are forced to do horrible things, things a kid isn’t supposed to do. Neither is an adult, no one is. He started the LRA, Lord’s Resistance Army. 30.000 kids have been kidnapped, this needs to stop. And that’s why we need to Make Kony Famous. Let the world know about the horrible things he does, and the thousands of children and parents suffering. So come together, at the April the 20th. That is the day, we will cover the night. People in all kind of cities, all over the world meet at sundown & cover the city with posters and stickers of Joseph Kony. To Make Kony Famous. If you want to help these kids and parents, cover the night at 4/20/2012.

Butter London - Teddy Girl

This polish is apart of the permanent line of Butter London nail polishes.
The website says: A pale retro bubblegum pink (featured on the runway for top British designers).
This pale pink is a really nice shade for people with fair skin (and tan skin). It looks really good in Summer and gives the illusion of darker skin. I have gotten a few complements and people asking what it is when I wear this. You need 2-3 coats for an opaque finish.
If you are from Australia, I recommend purchasing this from eBay or looking for it in a boutique pharmacy near you. It cost me about $22 from a pharmacy. A dupe for this would be Essie’s Fiji, which will be easier to find on eBay.
Essie - Lady Like

This polish is also a permanent colour available from Essie.
The website says: an elegant soft mauve.
When I purchased this colour I was a bit skeptical on how it would look on my fair skin. I don’t usually wear darker colours, but this isn’t that dark when it is on your nails. I kept looking at my hands because this colour is so amazing. You need 2 coats for an opaque finish.
I recommend purchasing this from eBay - mine cost around $8 (shipping included) whereas in Myer, Essie costs around $20.

I strongly suggest looking on the Essie website. They have an amazing colour range. Once I find a colour I like, I go to Google Images and look up swatches. This gives you a clearer idea as to what the polish looks like on. Then I go to eBay and search the colour and buy it! I usually save around $10-$12 doing this. Although, I do struggle to find a good range of Butter London polishes on eBay, there are some.
This post is to tell you about some non-surgical, non-harmful tips for your lips.
- Drink plenty of water!
This is extremely important, even in Winter! Drinking water keeps your body well hydrated and needs to be done even when the weather is cold. Aim to drink at least 2L a day (or 8 glasses). When you first start drinking more water, after a few weeks you will find: hydrated lips, improved skin and you will start to feel more awake! Take a drink bottle with you to work, school/university. You can also add lemon to your water in the morning to kick-start your metabolism!
- Avoid drying lipsticks/lip stains.
Although these might not permanently make your lips dryer, they certainly make your lips look flaky and that is not cute! Opt for more moisturising, treating balms/lip glosses.
If you want colour, you can use the Lustre lipsticks from Mac. These are very moisturising and they have a wide colour range.
My favourite lip balm is a strawberry Chapstick or the cherry Carmex stick. Or you could just use Vaseline. Try to keep applying it throughout the day, but not too much or your lips will rely on it!
- Every time you brush your teeth (which should be twice a day!), brush your lips.

I know this sounds strange, but it works! Make sure your tooth brush is clean (I have a separate toothbrush for my lips and teeth) I brush my lips 2 times a day and aim for about 45 seconds to 1 minute. Brush in soft, circular motions so you don’t damage your lips. (This also plumps the lips gradually if you do it everyday for a while).
- This goes hand-in-hand with the point above. Invest in a good lip scrub, or make your own at home.
You can purchase lip scrubs from any Lush store. They come in flavours that smell and taste good!
To make your own: Combine equal parts of Vaseline (or Petroleum Jelly), honey and brown/white sugar. Rub this on your lips, then wash off and you will love the outcome, promise!
Hope these helped :)
OPI - Teenage Dream

This polish is from the Katy Perry collection in 2011.
It is a pink sparkle which has tiny pink glitters and larger rainbow circle glitters. It looks really nice on its own or over the top of any light pink nail polish.
(Only need 2 coats)
CHANEL - Beige Pétale

This polish is always available from Chanel (or try eBay).
I purchased this from the Dubai airport Chanel stand.
It is a true beige colour, and is a bit lighter than this picture.
(Two-three coats needed)

These are my eyelashes, this photo isn’t terribly good and my mascara was not good this day haha.
These are some tips on how to keep your eyelashes healthy and maintain them well.
- Never sleep with mascara on, you could rub your eyes during the night and having mascara on them for too long can result in easier breakages.
- Try not to curl your eyelashes with mascara on, it can stick to the curler and pull them out.
- Do not pull at your eyelashes, when they have mascara on and when they don’t. This will weaken them and make it easier for them to fall out/break.
- Apply some petroleum jelly or Vaseline onto the very top of your eyelashes and coat them as well. (You can do this for your eyebrows too) This promotes growth and helps to keep the lashes moisturised - I do this at night before I go to bed.
Tips for applying mascara:
- Hold the wand at the very bottom of the lashes (where they emerge from the skin) and slowly move it up to the tips (moving the wand slowly ensures that all the lashes are coated and also applies it evenly).
- Make sure you coat every lash by wiggling the wand back and forth while also moving it upwards.
- If you can’t find one mascara that does everything (volume & length), try to find two different mascaras (they can be different brands), one lengthening and one that deals with volume. Apply the lengthening (it should also separate the lashes) mascara first and then the volume mascara shortly after (the lengthening mascara shouldn’t dry before you apply the next one).
- Tilt your head backwards as you apply the mascara as it will help you see the lashes properly and hopefully minimise mascara residue on the lids.
Hope these helped!
